The aim of the wheel of life tool is to help you to get a visual on how balanced your life currently is. Together the wheel of life categories should represent a balanced life for you.
First, you should review the eight Wheel of Life categories. If there are any categories where the label doesn't feel right - you can change it. For example you can change the label 'Finances' to 'Money' if you prefer.
You will then score your satisfaction levels against each of the wheel categories, this gives you a great helicopter view of what is - and isn't - working for you in life. Rate your satisfaction with each category on the wheel by simply drawing a line. You will then clearly see which areas of your life need attention.
Once completed the wheel will likely look 'bumpy'. You could then choose to set goals or create an action plan around the areas of life where satisfaction is low. Use this tool regularly and you will clearly see how your goals are progressing.
Use this worksheet to brainstorm new ideas to move you closer to a goal or habit change. Do your best to come up with the full 5 actions or behaviours - one for each box below - completing the worksheet in any order.
Remember this is brainstorming, so just because you write it down doesn't mean you have to do it - we're just looking for potential ideas to move you forwards!
